PAST TENSE OF VERB TO BE

¿Por es importante el verbo TO BE en pasado? ¿Para qué me sirve? En el inglés como en cualquier idioma es importante resaltar que tiempo verbal estas utilizando para hacer que todos comprendan de qué experiencias estás hablando.

Para poder hablar con personas de otros lugares y poder conectarte con todo el mundo es esencial contar tus anécdotas y vivencias. Las cuales presentan una forma más clara de lo que eres y como eres. Así que usa tus herramientas para poder expresarte.

Activity 1

Escribe en tu cuaderno la explicación del verbo TO BE en pasado simple, en forma positiva y negativa, pregunta y respuesta. Luego desarrolla en tu cuaderno los ejercicios planteados en el siguiente enlace:

Present perfect vs Past simple (2)

Activity 1

Organiza en las columnas los verbos regulares e irregulares, cambia su forma a participio pasado y encuentra en la sopa de letras su forma en pasado.

Present Perfect VS Simple Past

Use:

El presente perfecto se usa para decir que algo ha ocurrido en un momento no específico.

*I have written many books

*I have done the homework

El pasado simple se usa para decir en qué momento específico ocurrió esta acción o evento.

*I wrote many books last year.

*I did the homework

On a Business Trip – A Presentation

Betsy: Hi Brian, this is Betsy. How are you doing?
Brian: I’ve just returned from the Head Office. The weather is great! Boston is a great city!

Betsy: Have you met Frank yet?
Brian: No, I haven’t seen him yet. We have a meeting at 10 o’clock tomorrow morning. We are going to meet then.

Betsy: Have you made your presentation yet?
Brian: Yes, I made the presentation yesterday afternoon. I was very nervous, but everything went well.

Betsy: Has management given you any feedback yet?
Brian: Yes, I’ve already met with the sales director. We met immediately after the meeting and he was impressed with our work.

Betsy: That’s great Brian. Congratulations! Have you visited any museums yet?
Brian: No, I’m afraid I haven’t had any time yet. I hope to take a tour around town tomorrow.

Betsy: Well, I’m happy to hear that everything is going well. I’ll talk to you soon.
